Botanic Abstractions

Harrisburg, PA 2026 is NOW OPEN

Dar James
9:00 - 4:30
Tuesday July 14
$185.00

Explore how the forms and rhythms of nature can spark bold, contemporary art utilizing proportions to foster composition. With flowers, leaves, and other botanical references as inspiration, you’ll create a mini sketchbook, experiment with color, mark-making, and collage to create richly layered compositions. Through guided exercises in simplification and design, you’ll learn how to distill organic forms into expressive, abstract motifs. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a cohesive series of nature-inspired mixed media pieces and a deeper connection to your own creative process.

Materials Fee $20 paid at beginning of class includes:

Three cradled wood panels
