Discover the timeless craft of basket weaving in this hands-on beginner class! You will learn the fundamentals of reed basket weaving using natural rattan reed. Our experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step through essential weaving techniques, including twining, twill weave, plain weave, and lashing. By the end of the class, you’ll complete a beautiful handled basket-perfect as a project basket, catch-all, or stylish storage solution. The finished basket measures approximately 10 inches long, 8 inches deep, and 7 inches tall. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Students will learn all of the steps necessary to complete a basket. Students may NOT complete the entire project during the class time. They will go home with all the materials needed to complete all steps. Students level: Beginner to Intermediate

Basket kit for each student
Kit booklet
Specialty basketry equipment
Dyed Reed
