Create a small, hand-stitched fabric necklace layered with texture, story, and a touch of vintage metal.
This one-day class invites you to work intuitively with cloth, thread, and found elements to make a meaningful piece you can wear. We will create a hand-stitched fabric necklace that feels like a small story you can wear. Using layers of fabric—frayed edges, worn textures, and unexpected combinations—you’ll build a richly textured base through simple hand sewing. We’ll focus on working intuitively, allowing the materials to guide us rather than over-planning the outcome. Once your layered cloth foundation begins to take shape, you’ll add a focal point using a vintage or found metal piece, transforming your work into a one-of-a-kind adornment.
This class is about slowing down, noticing detail, and embracing imperfection. Each stitch, each layer, becomes part of the story. By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a finished necklace and a process you can return to again and again—creating small, meaningful pieces that feel both personal and timeless. Some stories are stitched, not spoken.

Teacher Will Provide:

1 Cording for necklace
2 Additional fabric scraps to share
Gentle Note You don’t need perfect materials. The most meaningful pieces often come from what’s worn, unexpected, or already loved
