10 photos and a theme for your book:
Gather 10 of your photos that you would like to transfer onto metal, black & white or color. They should be high in contrast, a variety of sizes, 4 x 6 and smaller, and printed on a laser printer on inexpensive plain copy paper. No text. It is very important to use cheap plain copy paper. If you bring it to a copy store to have it printed, bring your own paper. They often print on fancy slick paper that will not work for this process. 6 of these will be used for your metal transfers
Paper ephemera:
Paper should be thinner than card stock. Sewing pattern paper, old book pages, old letters, journal pages, cheesecloth, and ledger pages will all work well. https://www.etsy.com/shop/BeachFleaMarket
OPTIONAL, (I will have several to share, if you don’t want to wait, please bring your own)
A Craft heat gun
Metal punch or cropodile, only if you have one, please do not purchase this for class.
Stencils, 2 or 3 of your favorites, I will have plenty to share.
Waxed linen thread, I will have brown or black for everyone.
Sari ribbon & beads for the spine of your book, I supply one for each of you.
